About us
Berona was founded in 2023.
We have built close relationships with the leading growers of raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, and cherries across Northwestern Ukraine. This experience allowed us to gain an in-depth understanding of the region, its harvest cycles, and the quality standards expected in international markets.
Over time, we invested in our own cold storage infrastructure and now operate freezing facilities with a total capacity exceeding 3,000 tons. In 2025, we further strengthened our processing capabilities by installing a Unidex IQF-tunnel and a state-of-the-art TOMRA machinery, enabling precise berry grading that meets the strictest global specifications.
Looking ahead, we are preparing to establish and cultivate our own berry plantations to ensure even greater control, traceability, and consistency across our full supply chain.

Our process
Sourcing from local growers
Blueberry, strawberry, raspberry, cherry
We supply our partner farms with durable crates and boxes to reduce damage during harvest and transport. The berries arrive fresh and are immediately cooled and prepared for freezing.
Freezing in IQF Tunnel and Sorting

After individual quick freezing, the berries pass through grading sieves to separate whole berries from the crumble fraction. Sorting is performed first by hand and then refined using a TOMRA optical sorting system to ensure consistent quality.
Weighing, Packing & Storage
5kg bags, 10kg bags, carton boxes
The whole berries and the crumble are packed according to the client’s specifications and stored at -18°C until shipment.

IQF Tunnel Freezing
Our freezing technology allows berries to be frozen individually and to avoid clumps. This preserves shape, texture, flavour, colour far better than block freezing.
TOMRA optical sorting
Our state-of-the-art sorting technology ensures consistent product quality by removing defects and foreign materials, and by grading berries for colour, size, and maturity to meet the most demanding industry standards.
3,000 tons cold storage
We operate cold storage facilities with a capacity of 3,000 tons and a fleet of refrigerated trucks to ensure consistent temperature during storage and transport.
